          “THE COLOMBO OF OLDE” – by Des Kelly      No, it’s not a spelling mistake folks, although unfortunately, I am guilty of the same at times, myself. This spelling comes from ancient  Shakespearean literature and I do prefer this old word with the e’ added. That said, let me thank both Arthur Speldewinde and Charles Schokman for this “post” that will bring precious memories to many folk from our Lovely Island Home. I think that this is one that was published a year or two ago, but that really doesn’t matter.  Interesting “repeats” are, very often, welcomed by people who remember our Motherland with the love and respect it truly deserves.  Desmond Kelly.
