Ban on incoming travellers to be lifted from June 01

The government has decided to lift the ban on travellers entering the country from June 1.

Director General of Civil Aviation Capt. Themiya Abeywickrama said that the government had decided to lift the temporary restriction imposed on inbound travellers to Sri Lanka effective June 1 subject to the following restrictions until further notice:

1. Each incoming flight can carry only a maximum of 75 passengers in total.  

2. Any passenger with a travel history to India (including transit) in the past 14 days will not be permitted to arrive. 

3. All arriving passengers will be subject to a 14 day quarantine period as per instructions of the Health Authorities. 

In addition, the provision of SD-20 (Revision 3 of 15th May 2021) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka will apply. Restriction for passengers who have been to India within the last 14 days will continue until further notice.
