Landslide early warnings issued to the districts of Badulla, Colombo, Galle, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Matara, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura

The Landslide Early Warning Center of the National Building Research Orgnisation [NBRO] has issued warnings to the districts of, Badulla, Colombo, Galle, Kalutara, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Matara, Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura for the next 24 hours from 05.00 pm on the 21st of October 2025.
Accordingly,
Level II landslide early warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secretaries Divisions and surrounding areas of Baddegama, Elpitiya and Nagoda in the Galle district, Walallawita in the Kalutara district, Ududumbara and Yatinuwara in the Kandy district, Aranayake, Yatiyanthota, Mawanella, Kegalle, Rambukkana and Dehiowita in the Kegalle district, and Eheliyagoda, Kalawana and Ratnapura in the Ratnapura district.
Level I landslide early warnings have been issued to the Divisional Secretaries Divisions and surrounding areas of Haldummulla and Passara in the Badulla district, Padukka and Seethawaka in the Colombo district, Yakkalamulla and Neluwa in the Galle district, Ingiriya, Horana, Palindanuwara and Bulathsinhala in the Kalutara district, Doluwa, Pasbage Korale, Udapalatha, Deltota, Pathadumbara, Pathahewaheta, Udunuwara and Ganga Ihala Korale in the Kandy district, Warakapola, Bulathkohupitiya, Galigamuwa and Ruwanwella in the Kegalle district, Alawwa, Narammala, Mallawapitiya and Rideegama in the Kurunegala district, Ambanganga Korale, Laggala, Ukuwela, Pallepola, Naula, Rattota and Yatawatta in the Matale district, Welipitiya in the Matara district, Hanguranketha, Walapane and Ambagamuwa in the Nuwara Eliya district, and Imbulpe, Kiriella, Kuruwita and Ayagama in the Ratnapura district.
