eLanka UK | “TAP-DANCING” – by Des Kelly

Although my background is a combination of Irish & Dutch, and even though my Lankan/Aussie Showbiz career goes right back to 1941, when I was just five years old and included Acting on-stage, and on television, Vocalizing, writing the lyrics & music to over a hundred songs, playing various instruments including Ukulele, Guitar, and Keyboard, writing poetry that has been accepted Internationally, and finally, at the ripe old age of eighty five,

being accepted as the Editor for the very best website for both Aussies and Sri Lankans all over the World, eLanka

(the website you are involved in right now), the ONE thing I could never do was DANCE!!.

Having watched literally thousands of good people dance to my music, over the years, I was very  disappointed, and so, a few years ago decided to try a bit of tap-dancing (after watching a Fred Astaire movie).

Everything went well, and I was “tapping” away, when I suddenly got tired and fell into the sink. Never one to give up, I decided to try again later, but in the meanwhile saw this particular video, which is bound to go viral, featuring these two Irish lads. Here they are, Ladies & Gentlemen. THIS is what “TAP DANCING” is all about.
